Emily is a specialist family solicitor. She advises on many areas of family law, including complex financial disputes and the arrangements for children following the breakdown of a relationship. Emily also helps clients with wealth management, including preparing pre and post-nuptial agreements and cohabitation agreements. She is valued by clients for her thoughtful, empathetic approach combined with her meticulous attention to detail.

Emily has represented clients through complex financial remedy proceedings. She regularly helps clients to reach agreement without the need for court proceedings and will represent them robustly when court input is required.
Emily is also a member of Mills & Reeve’s specialist children law team. She has recent and extensive experience of assisting clients through Children Act proceedings where there have been issues of domestic abuse, alcoholism, and anger management. She has secured orders for changes of schooling and holidays abroad. Emily has experience helping clients who are vulnerable and has represented clients who are terminally unwell. She is approachable and offers straightforward advice, helping clients navigate what can otherwise seem to be an overwhelming process.
