How businesses can co-operate on environmental goals - new CMA guidance
On 28 February 2023, the Competition and Markets Authority (“CMA”) published their long-awaited draft guidance concerning the application of competition laws to environmental sustainability agreements between competitors or potential competitors (the “Guidance”) . The Guidance was announced by Sarah Cardell, CEO of the CMA, in her speech to the Scottish Competition Forum in January 2023 and builds on the environmental sustainability advice that the CMA provided to the Government in March 2022.
