Clinical governance

• Supporting high-profile Public Inquiries: Infected Blood Inquiry, UK Covid-19, Thirlwall
• Advising on Independent Investigations: Okenden, Liverpool Community Health and East Kent
• Working with NHS Trusts on risk management projects to improve learning from incidents: Mersey Care as referenced in the Care Quality Commission’s report.

Corporate governance

• Establishing wholly owned subsidiaries by Foundations Trusts (FTs) for the provision of shared services and/or for income generation purposes.
• Creating joint boards and leadership functions between NHS bodies.
• Completing the disaggregation of an NHS Trust and the re-provision of services between NHS FTs.
• Handling high profile executive, non-executive and governor related investigations and issues (including their appointment, reappointment, removal and reputational management).
• Reviewing Constitutions, Schemes of Delegation and Standard Financial Instruments. 
• Supporting on novel shared services companies owned by Local Authorities and NHS bodies that served the owners and a range of others including schools, academies, and GPs.
• Establishing innovative joint ventures combining treatment, research and public health in the UK and overseas.
• Reviewing proposed enforcement action against alleged breaches of provider licence conditions by NHS providers.
• Creating multiple provider collaboratives and place-based partnerships.
